Botox®for Migraine
Botulinum toxin was approved by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) in 2011 and has been clinically proven to significantly reduce the symptoms and frequency of chronic migraine. This debilitating condition has a hugely negative impact on its sufferer's physical and mental health. Certain people can receive this treatment on the NHS, however, waiting times are extremely long and the criteria are not met by most migraine sufferers. The techniques used by Dr Attoe are identical to the protocol used in the NHS (PREEMPT study) which is proven to work in 50% of sufferers (after 2 cycles).
